What a beautiful sailboat!!! It's a shame the sails aren't unfurled.

Vitaliy{vitpat}Patashkin, well, the bridge is gorgeous, I get it – we don’t have anything like that in the CIS

It happened in Bourgeois Germany, a bridge over the Noord-Ostsee Canal (Kiel Canal)

Gorch Fock came to see us. I was there. He has a cool story. There were two of them. They even gave us one.

The photo shows, I believe, the Gorch Fock 2. Its sister ship, the Gorch Fock, was handed over to the USSR after World War II and renamed Tovarisch. Under this name, it won a regatta against the Gorch Fock 2. Such is the fate of these beautiful ships.

Yes, that's right. Only the KHOKHLs screwed up the "Tovarishch"; when the Soviet Union collapsed, they could have repaired it in Kherson, but sent it to England. England bought it from them, but didn't do anything themselves. In 1999, the Germans bought it, renovated it completely, and since 2003 it's been standing at the Stralsund shipyard as a museum. By the way, Stralsund was the first home port of the first "Gorch Fock". That's the story. It's unknown what would have happened to the "Kruzenshtern" in the troubled early nineties. The "Kruzer" was registered in the port of Tallinn at that time, and while returning from a voyage, the captain (he was from Kaliningrad) decided to call at Kaliningrad, and the "Kruzer" remained with us.
